Required: Helix Hardware firmware V3.1 or higher | Helix Native V3.1 or higher
These tones were designed for Baritone Guitars in A2 Standard and Basses in A1 Standard an octave down, . The guitars used to craft these tones were equipped with Humbuckers, one passive (PSV) and one active (ACT). The Bass tones also feature both an active and passive preset.

• For use with “as-is” in the DAW, with a “FRFR” (full range, flat response) rig, or “direct to FOH”.
VNS PSV
A clear and rich, pushed gain rhythm tone with controllable “purrr”. Tweaked for modern passive pickups. Great for diminished rhythms and single note lines.
VNS PSV VRB
An articulate yet smooth hi-gain reverb tone for melody lines that retains pick-attack
VNS PSV LOFI
That “old-fashioned radio” or “telephone” sound for your guitar or bass to set up the listener for a dynamic shift in your compositions.
VNS ACT
Same as VNS PSV but tweaked for active pickups. May perform well on certain passive pickups as well
VNS ACT VRB
Same as VNS PSV VRB but tweaked for active pickups. May perform well on certain passive pickups as well

A gnarly, grinding bass tone with a tight bottom end fashioned for use for low tuned, fast, heavy music.

• Preamp only, non pickup specific versions of the above tones tweaked for use with a power amp & cab, user IRs, or an external IR loader. May require additional tweaking depending on instrument pairing.

Loading the Tones:
Step 1 - Connect and sync your Helix hardware to your computer via the HX Edit app. For Helix Native, open the Helix Native app.
Step 2 - Drag the desired tone from the unzipped folder into the “Setlist” menu column on the left side of either HX Edit or Helix Native.
Step 3 - Start playing and writing RAD GRINDY RIFFS!
